FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC)
During my high school years, I actively participated in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). The competition include 2015-2016 FRC season “Stronghold”, 2016-2017 FRC season “STEAMworks” and 2015-2016 FTC season “Res-Q”, 2016-2017 FTC season “Velocity Vortex”.
In FRC, I competed in the 2015-2016 season “Stronghold” — a medieval-themed challenge where alliances breached defenses and captured towers by launching boulders — and the 2016-2017 season “STEAMworks”, a steampunk-inspired game focused on collecting fuel (balls), delivering gears to build rotating mechanisms, and climbing ropes to prepare airships for launch.
Concurrently in FTC, I took part in the 2015-2016 season “Res-Q”, which involved mountain climbing, particle scoring, zip-line operations, and precise beacon pressing, as well as the 2016-2017 season “Velocity Vortex”. These multi-year experiences strengthened my technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and passion for STEM innovation while teaching me the value of Gracious Professionalism® and effective teamwork in high-pressure competitive environments.
